there was just a screening of one of my favorite movies ever - Tokyo Gore Police - at the best theater in portland. I begged my friend to screen it for so long. It pays off to be annoying sometimes
I wouldn’t say it makes me feel smart and mysterious but rather depraved and stupid. It’s incredible i recommend it to anyone that can stomach it

watched the 70mm showing an hour away from home
felt unsafe on a subway, got home at 4am
and it was so worth it
the movie is unbelievably good, and is like a rain on 2024 movie drought

just saw it at the Alamo and it is truly unbelievable
I’ve seen time bandits and Brazil but this is probably my favorite terry gilliam yet
It’s just so weird and different than anything I’ve ever seen and I’ll always be grateful that there are people (not me) who can create the most wonderful things I’ve ever seen
also I’ve said it before but seeing second run movies in theaters is up there with the best things that life has to offer
Anymore whimsical/fantastical sci-fi (not really sure what genre this movie is exactly) would be greatly appreciated
