Neon Genesis Evangelion

I always want to recommend this at risk of someone actually watching and going “that Taylor, she’s a weirdo” except most of the REALLY weird stuff you have to get through 90% of the series to see so maybe they’re the weirdo! Watched it for the first time roughly a year ago, saw “End of Evangelion” in a sold out theatre tonight and my love for this show immediately came rushing back.

You gotta love to be loved. You gotta make a risk for real human connection - it’ll never come easy. You gotta be dumb, vulnerable, apologetic, angry - you gotta live. You gotta love to be loved and sometimes you need to see big robots duking it out with aliens to remember that.

Catwalk (1995)

Last week I watched Catwalk (1995), a fashion documentary following Christy Turlington around fashion week and WOW. Catwalk is a must watch for lovers of 90s fashion and was an immediate 5/5 on letterboxd for me, personally :)) It was so interesting to see the hectic theatrics that take place behind the scenes of fashion shows and the processes of iconic designers during fittings and backstage - particularly John Galliano, of course. This documentary is bursting at the seams with iconic names, faces and walks! Give it a watch :))
