I’ve had a diary/journal ever since I was in 2nd grade (shoutouts to Amelia’s Notebook for sparking something in me). My journal is one of my most prized possessions. It’s my confidante, my source of inspiration, my friend.
Journaling has always allowed me to unapologetically express myself. I’ve learned to embrace my voice through writing. I love when I read back on past journal entries and be like, ‘Damn I wrote this?! This is poetry.’
There’s something so satisfying about writing in notebooks: the feel of the pen on paper, the way your thoughts just flow, and then revisiting them and being surprised by what you wrote.
And let’s not forget the magic of a personalized notebook cover and buying stickers!
I journal nearly every day and it has changed my life. I feel like I know myself much more deeply and remember things better because of it. Sometimes I write many pages and other times just a few sentences. I like how it can be as silly or serious as I want and I like how it’s only for me.
I love journaling. Writing, drawing, listing, word vomiting, listening to music/lyrics, etc. It is how I keep myself safe, sane, and smart about my emotions. I am always getting better at it.
honestly just having an outlet
there’s a lot of things you can’t always go to oeoole for and it’s scary to open up to actual people and seeing what they have to say
i blabber on a lot to people irl sometimes and i’m not really consistent in my journallling but just carrying around my journal and being able to pull it out anytime is a very nice option to have
it doesn’t even matter what im writing half the time my thoughts don’t make sense but i love journaling and hope it becomes a
constant in my life cause that outlet is an amazing one to have
Petting my cat has become the most effective tactile activity that calms my nervous system. My Blue, the most perfect cat for a girl like me! She’s so tiny with her tiny head and tiny paws. The purest anti-depressant.
I haven’t baked in so long, so getting back into it was much needed. It challenges me to slow down and practice a sense of mindfulness as I’m measuring the necessary ingredients, setting the oven at the exact temperature, and getting the right texture.
I also get so much joy when others enjoy my baked goods! Like it’s such an honor that this cookie made your tummy happy haha.
I love just chilling with my friends and doing mundane things like watching really bad movies and TV shows haha. That’s living baby! I love my friends so much WEEEE!!
