my two experiences watching nosferatu.
1. opening night, christmas day, blind date. the blind date didn't buy my popcorn but that's okay because i am a fein for popcorn and don't like sharing anyway.
besides the vague cameos in spongebob this was my first experience watching any rendition of the film. (shoutout to our nepotism baby starlit ~ lily-rose depp, she did a great job. no one can really get to the depth of erotic possession like she can.)
the best part of seeing any film is the audience reactions. so with the final scene of the film all you can hear was the collective "uhhh what?"
memorable christmas to say the least. no second date and I prefer it that way.
2. couple weeks later, best friend comes to town, i take him to my favorite theater... he buys me popcorn (i didn't have to share), a glizzy and drink for himself. my only irritation was the projector was just off☆.. this film needs the justice it deserves, color, sound etc adds to all. so the blacks were too black that you couldn't really see the details. the details are key people! i almost had a karen moment lol.
so yeah, the homie ended up falling asleep and i don't blame him.
the real joy is all the memes that came from this saga.

i don’t think i will ever get over this movie. i’ve already seen it twice in theatres and i cried and was scared and was full of joy. i love gothic horror more than anything else. i love beautiful visuals and some weird little fucked up things happening. i love having the ability to think critically and analyze movies, especially ones with such powerful themes and amazing metaphors/representations like this one. eggers you will always be famous

the production of it was so incredible…it made me feel like i was actually in that timeline and setting. aesthetic was perfectionnnn. the actors really succeeded at making it so eerie yet Sexy..like it is an inherently sexy movie

Film needs to make a comeback. Dark rooms, chemicals, film reels.
I know polaroids are common nowadays but lets bring back disposable cameras, 35mm pocket cams, kodak developing centers at cvs.
(Polaroid I took at a photoshoot 5 years ago.)
