I first bought the sample size last November, and loved it so much that I recently dropped the $50 to order the next size up— it’s one of the most magical fragrances I’ve ever had the pleasure to wear. On first smell, it smells like a freshwater stream through the woods, or the smell of the earth after rain. It‘s very aquatic and ozonic, but on the dry down it transforms into something sweet and floral. I genuinely can’t recommend this scent and the perfumery enough :)

my favourite perfume - Jasmine, Ylang Ylang, Rose, Sandalwood. I love Jasmine and Rose so much, and I love how Jasmine can smell kind of gross. This perfume smells really different on different people and I always inexplicably think it smells like paper on me and I smell like an old library that someones left old flowers a bit too long in in a good way. It’s the perfume my bf thinks now smells of me. It’s affordable! But it stains my skin and any light clothing red/orange so I have to be careful with it. I also wear: M&S warm neroli - casual daytime. Neroli, bergamot, musk. Feels quite meditative. Blue and Shay Atropa Belladonna or Black Tulip - Both heady florals. The belladonna is sweeter than I’d buy myself but it was a gift and I wear it occasionally. The black tulip to me smells again like old flowers (although others have said it smells fresh so maybe I’m just weird). I generally prefer to smell a bit old and rotten than fresh and bright. i recently discovered Cherry Smoke by Tom Ford and I’ve fallen in love. I’ve been wearing it as my nighttime scent. Cherry, smoked wood, apricot, leather, olive. It’s sweet but smokey like a Manhattan. it’s sexy as FUCK. But I absolutely cannot afford it once this tester runs out so it’s a flash in the pan love affair. In terms of other scents - my laundry is always lavender cause wool moths don’t like it, and I usually always buy rose or jasmine scented body wash, but atm it’s a huge bar of pomegranate soap that caskeyc got me for Christmas, and I like to burn sandalwood or jasmine in my room.

I was strolling around the city 5 days ago when I fell upon this wonderfully scented perfume. It had notes of olive tree🫒and rose and a woody underlying theme. It is floral but not the typical kind of floral but rather a more mature floral scent resembling Rose 31 from le Labo. The best part is that is was not that expensive only 55CAD for the mini version(okay pretty expensive.)

I ended up getting this perfume at Urban Outfitters after surprisingly not finding any that I liked at Lush. I have a small budget, so it's nice that it's only $24! It's not super fancy or long-lasting, so you get what you pay for, but it smells fantastic. I was looking for a scent that smelled woodsy and sweet, but usually I find woodsy scents to be super overpoweringly masculine or aftershave-y. This one is one of the only woodsy ones I've found that isn't too strong or too clinical. The others in the collection also smell great! I had a hard time choosing just one.

I have to disagree with the people who say that we need to “stay” and “fight“ for IG to be a better platform because in actuality, it’s our presence and engagement that gives them data, and therefore money. As long as they have those 2 things, they make their bottom line and won’t really care about its users desires unless they’re making a move for the optics. If we REALLY want to hold them accountable, we need to impact the money they make, which means permanently deleting or marking your account as inactive & never coming back. They’ll only care if they’re bleeding money— so make them bleed.

Every piece I wear has some sort of sentimental story backed behind it (my bracelets/rings/necklaces/some of my earrings). For me, wearing sentimental jewelry serves 3 purposes: 1) Bringing life to pieces that have been given to me with love 2) Carrying my loved ones wherever I go 3) Prevented me from making impulsive jewelry purchases (because fast fashion jewelry doesn't feel the same way a gift does) Ig the only exceptions I make in fast fashion jewelry is earrings, but only bc I need boring earrings for corporate-wear lol
