West African music as a whole has a lot of percussion, in my experience. A lot of people make the mistake of only looking at “traditional music,” when it comes to Africa, but modern stuff is really great too!! Check out the zouglou genre. Some of the tracks on the riverside label album “the compositions of dizzy Gillespie“ are extremely percussive, particularly those with Philly Joe Jones drumming on them. John Coltrane’s album “interstellar space” is literally just drums and saxophone, and it gets pretty wild. My favorite track is “mars.”
been really into african psychedelia outside of zamrock as of late. obsessed w the sounds on track “we’re laughing” by ghanian band the psychedelic aliens rn along w “float” by nigerian act tirogo.
My favorite flavor of ice cream followed by moose tracks. Had some with apple pie that my aunt made for my birthday the other day and it was muy delicioso👌
I've have a list of movies and shows I've been wanting to watch and just recently I decided to actually start watching them. So far I've watched:
1. Godzilla Minus One
2. Bottoms
3. The first episode of Twin Peaks
Highly recommend all of them‼️
