not a drinker, nor a smoker anymore, but i used to hugely enjoy the way niche media made me feel. role play videos, youtube rabbit holes, and underground (perhaps shitty student-made) short films are just best consumed under the influence of something a little goofy. preferably light, ideally funny, but mostly just a little off kilter.

A perfect little window into the past
If you don't think it's too morbid (and u enter with curiosity rather than irony), this channel has really cool/weird/sad footage of people reacting to 9/11 in weird places (malls that turned shoppers away, Sears where people watched the news on floor model TVs, bars where customers are offered free drinks)
Another good channel is Old Footage Wanted (people giving house tours in the 80s to no one)
