she’s pretty much the only youtuber i regularly consume nowadays, & ‘regularly’ is probably an overstatement because i’m still trying to kill my addiction to short-form content. anyway, she mostly makes fashion/style content. what separates her from other ‘fashion influencers’ is that her videos aren’t about over-consuming the new trend of the week, they’re about how to tastefully style what you already own, build a quality & reliable wardrobe, & have fun with practical fashion. i feel like she’s genuinely helped me spice up my wardrobe without doing a ton of shopping, but rather just by styling items in new ways :)

- clairo! i loveeee her lyricism, personal style, makeup, hair and her genuine nature - nina gordon from veruca salt, inspires me especially when i’m playing bass on stage - kate brock my fave youtuber, gives me inspiration in style and motivation for sports - women of the david lynch universe - also crediting pinterest, curated my style on there and it’s great for finding inspiration from any form of media

Bliss Foster, Mina Le, and a few other youtubers were my first foray into understanding Fashion & Culture, and I love the way Bliss Foster breaks down Fashion history, how politics have influenced designers, and also just basic reporting on current tea in the industry LOL I highly recommend

the old-fashioned way, like you would before the entire internet was monopolised into basically three conglomerates. why would you spend all your time on your computer swapping between instagram tiktok youtube pinterest when you could find some of the coolest websites you've never heard about learning information your algorithm would never feed to you!!!! a good place to start is your favourite artist's websites (not just musicians!) sometimes they have blogs (especially if they're writers) and often they link websites they like. I also like magazine websites - the face, angel food, hot literati or craigslist missed connections. I check the new york section all the time
