I started following Trash Night in high school and honestly it’s one of my favourite YouTube channels to revisit every now and then. Now they have a monthly cyber stream on twitch (trashnightvideo) of a ton of found media oddities that are so funny and interesting to watch :-) and also the edits are supreme

~I don’t know if it’s a thing you’re supposed to talk about in print and likely for that reason I’ve never had it properly explained to me, so this is something I should just say to trust me and check out. The best I can tell is that Racer Trash is this like, collective of editors who take a different movie every month and edit it in a way that is so trippy and funny and deeply meta and stream it and make charitable contributions. They all take a few scenes so the style and tone oscillates. It’s basically one of 3 things I care about on Twitch and when that notification drops, I stop what I’m doing and put headphones on and watch it and if I’m with my friends, we are all watching. If I am in a meeting, no I’m not. I’m watching it in browser. When you see a toddler with an iPad absolutely rapt staring at a video of someone playing with slime, that’s my level of captivation at these re-edited films.

A perfect little window into the past
If you don't think it's too morbid (and u enter with curiosity rather than irony), this channel has really cool/weird/sad footage of people reacting to 9/11 in weird places (malls that turned shoppers away, Sears where people watched the news on floor model TVs, bars where customers are offered free drinks)
Another good channel is Old Footage Wanted (people giving house tours in the 80s to no one)

Idk how niche this is but they make edits of films and put songs over them- its just fun to watch and you get a new song/film out of it
*I also love to watch documentaries about people with different conditions they were born with and see how they live

Soft melodies with a goth beat. A lot of sounds that tickle the brain, very moody and makes you feel like you are looking over a cliff at a stormy sea.
vocals by Zoè Zanias and very similar vibe to Zanias 2016 EP “To the Core”. Zanias always has very potent and witchy lyrics :)
