Back when Vice was good, Hamilton Morris introduced himself and his gonzo scientific research to the world. The ONLY Patreon I subscribe to. The first season is free on YouTube, I think the others were on Hulu last I checked.

i haven’t watched them all and idk if they’re relaxing necessarily, but it’s this guy who literally just travels and learns about the cultivation / production, culture, and effects (firsthand) of different drugs lol the actual show is on hulu but the older, shorter version of it is on youtube totally free

If youve ever been curious about the culture and science around drugs, Vice had a series called Hamilton’s Pharmacopia. Some episodes/ specials are available on YT. Premise: Documentary Series- Hamilton Morris is a chemist with a proclivity for studying the effects of different substances and how they work. Each episode is interesting he interviews all sorts of ppl from all walks of life. For instance: interviews a visual artist seemingly addicted to DMT, Native Americans who welcomed him to experience a guided ritual, scientists who did jail time for synthseizing research chemicals… and so so so many more. Iā€˜m not super into the chemistry aspect, but a significant aspect of his show is based in the sociological and psychological affects of illicit substance. I linked one of my favorite episodes:) I also just luv Hamilton ā£ļø and if he ever sees this šŸ«¶šŸ»šŸ«¶šŸ»šŸ«¶šŸ» lolz

you may know Hamilton Morris from his VICE show back in the day, but nowadays he’s a working chemist with a focus on psychedelic research, who has a podcast wherein he interviews drug chemists/people who have interesting stories to tell about pharmacology and chemistry. Hamilton is incredibly intelligent and I find the interviews fascinating even if the chemistry discussion is too advanced for me. my favorite episodes are ā€œPaying The Price For a Free Chemistry Educationā€ wherein he interviews a clandestine chemist who was effectively enslaved by associates of Sammy the Bull Gravano to synthesize large quantities of MDA for them to sell. Another great one is ā€œWhat Happened to the Kentucky Ibogaine Program?ā€ where he interviews the lawyer who spearheaded the program in Kentucky to use the psychedelic Ibogaine as a treatment for opioid use disorder. If you have any interest in pharmacology, chemistry, or the sociology of drugs, I think you’d find it fascinating.

Everything in your life does not have to be subscription based, and subscription does not equate a service being good. If I’m paying $24.99 a month to watch Netflix in 4K UHD, I should expect to see what I pay for, not subpar playback latency, low bitrate streams, many app crashes, and overall looking terrible on anything that isn’t a 4K display. Remember when you could buy things and own them, like, forever? There is a better world out there past Netflix, Hulu, Spotify and Amazon Prime.

You don’t have to tell everyone everything in/about your life, especially online, in today’s online yet frequently data-breached world. Like the great Christopher Wallace once said: Keep your family and business completely separated

I have a near-Biblical dislike of Allbirds shoes and every other Tim Cook Jeff Bezos Middle-aged Balding Pickleball coach ass shoe out there for convincing the public that these were in any way cool. No dude, you look like a loser with these. They look bland and lifeless, like they were concocted in the same boardroom that made the flat graphic design trend that Meta and Google love so much. Hell, even notorious ip-infringer Skechers makes better looking shoes than these. They don’t even feel good to wear. They have no soul or personality and yet some people swear by them. Who are these shoes for?
