hammy nation rise up, they’ve done it again. i really respect that theyve consistently put out music that’s untouched by trends, especially within the emo/pop punk/whatever scene. eric’s lyrics on these ones are especially biting i love it. great follow up to their last album, i can’t wait for more! if you haven’t checked out heart attack man, you haaaave to if you’re a fan of punk pop/rock in the last 20 years. it’s like. pop punk written by hardcore guys. their live shows are amazing too, the energy from the band and crowd is always raw fun. i’m a real big fan especially of their last album freak of nature, but my fave is their ep thoughtz & prayerz

found out about this one from my twitter oomfs when it released a few weeks back and ive been OBSESSED. super catchy cathartic uk emo, every song on this ep is an absolute banger. the riffs are awesome, the drums are powerful, the harmonies are huge, just lovelovelovelovelove. almost like an angsty, anthemic algernon cadwallader. super duper jealous they’re across the atlantic but as soon as they find their way to the states i will be doing everything in my power to see them. HIGHLY recommend, t_failz EOTY.

I’ve been into this band since 2017 & they inspired me so much back when I was in college. I was also listening to them right around when I was both getting into the concept of ā€œmathyā€ music and going to my local shows in NJ for the first time. One of my most memorable shows was driving one of my newer friends to see Peaer on an autumn, Sunday night in a church recreational space, 40 minutes away on a super rainy night. The venue’s parking lot was gravel and next to the church’s graveyard and there was probably 20-25 people total, including the bands. And it was so worth it, hearing Peaer live finally and seeing their musicianship in person. I have a real love for bands that are trios of drums, bass, guitar & vox, how you can hear everyone individually, but also how just 3 people can create such a wall of sound together. It was so important for me to see them live at that age, and I’m so glad I pushed myself to make the drive down there. They haven’t come out with music since 2019, an album called A Healthy Earth which I had on repeat religiously. So to have a new single from them with that same guitar tone, funky time changes but new formulas and ideas has been incredibly lovely. I’m thankful they’re still around and continuing to create šŸ

truly some of the best emo music i’ve heard in years. usually i’m not an album guy but they have almost no skips which for me is a great feat. i love the duet vocals that carry such sweetness and melancholy over each track. thank you so much numero group for resurfacing these guys and i’m so happy to have discovered them last year 🫶

my chameleon died this morning and i buried him in my mom’s backyard. i had a lot of ladders in his cage, he seemed to really like to zip around on em. it was hard to see him lose mobility in his old age, but i like to remember him as a climber. rest in peace mr. princess
