the loveliest characters and family dynamics. very funny and heartwarming show about a rich family who’s forced to go live in a smalltown motel. extra points for the tina turner cover, brb crying.
We all like to watch something cosy when we're feeling down, something safe that's always a joy to return to (for me, that's the first few seasons of Gilmore Girls and that one episode of Degrassi that Kevin Smith is in). But sometimes that just doesn't do it for me. Sometimes I need to watch Mark Corrigan fuck his life up in ways that make me cringe until my skull turns inside out, to remind me that I could be worse. There truly is no show more skin-crawling than the POV cringe comedy about the two most dysfunctional men in britain.
I love a good sitcom, and this one became a quick favorite! Home Economics is also a really good one, but unfortunately it was cancelled after 3 seasons :( I'd also toss out Raising Hope — been a while since I watched that one, but I remember it being extremely delightful.
finally getting around to watching this since i have a free trial this month (for Severance obviously). wholesome Schitt’s Creek type vibe where a billionaire played by Maya Rudolph starts getting to know the team running her foundation. her toxic ex-husband is played by Adam Scott cuz Apple owns him ig?? love the cast of characters (including Joel Kim Booster as her loyal assistant) and the exploration of what being filthy rich does to a person, as well as smart conversations about philanthropy vs. real societal change. Plus, Maya Rudolph wears soooo many beautiful dresses.
