After about 6 months of intermittent freelancing I’m finally finding my footing in a pizza shop opening near me. Doing manual labor to help get the shop ready feels really amazing and productive. Pizza soon.

after 2 years of working night shifts at a supermarket, my friend has offered me a job at his vintage store as the vinyl salesman! we’re still working out the details but the plan is coming into place and we’re making steady progress! hopefully by next month ill be in my new position in my hometown, working a day job that I am passionate about

Since high school, I’ve had a number of jobs here and there, and I just got my first job after college. During the summers, I did a lot of landscaping, and it made me realize how fulfilling manual labor work is to me, and made me rethink the career path I was looking into that mostly involved sitting in front of a computer. For some people, that is great, and they love their work! But I just started to feel a need to have a more physical job. Well I finally found work that I could use my college experience to get into and also involved physical work, and I’m so happy. I think I’m the kind of person that needs to move around a lot, so even though this wasn’t the job I was planning for during college, it’s one that makes me feel more fulfilled at the end of the day.

I finished my training period yesterday, so now I’m on my own! Perhaps slightly nerve-wracking, but yay for tips!

I’ve never been into baseball but I think this is my year. Might start saying slugger and pop fly more often, heck, might even take a trip to the field for a few innings and leave with a hot dog and a fresh jersey.
