If you have the eye strength to read a couple pages of the book literally inches away from you it is so good for the olβ noggin! Alternatively if that feels too taxing or like work you could immediately play music and try to notice 5 things in your room. Just something to get into the mind without that bright phone light!
During a recent power outage I had the pleasure. It sorta throws a golden spotlight on the page and focuses you in on that particular section. Super chill.
It's like a decades-long habit now (it used to be analog books now it's a digital reader). Does the trick; settles my mind (I sleep like a baby most nights but never for more than 6-7 hours), keeps me engaged in something outside of work, establishes a "here's the end of the day" routine in my brain. Your mileage may vary :)
