There's nothing like seeing the city from a plane windows. Sparkling like stars down there. The little people in their little cars and twinkling homes. Feels so bittersweet and human somehow.
mah1mas_swamp I agree, I wish I could bottle it up and hold the feeling, but in some ways I also think I feel it so strongly because it's so fleeting and rare
reject cringe, embrace whimsy. I want to remember thinking the clouds look like mountains or the land looks like a quilt, now with this hot new visual aid.
i loVE it. who r u carrying……. where r u going….. i love seeing them o so high up in the sky, i love seeing sea planes and helicopters zipping about the coast, i love seeing enormous planes flying absurdly low over the inner city suburbs as they come in to land.… i love imagining what the view from out the window might look like and what the most precious cargo might be and the most surreal interaction onboard. i’m very upset that we’ve become so reliant on them, given how bad they are for the environment and how sad they make the whales, but i am still astounded that we figured out how to make tons and tons of metal fly. beautiful in the most dangerous way
It's so lawless. You’ll see the weirdest things and no one will care. People are so unabashedly human here. Dead expressions, exhaustion, boredom. You’ll get a coffee, someone else will get a bloody mary, the time is irrelevant. Your priorities will be tested, everything costs at least three times as much as it should, it won’t matter. I love liminal spaces.
