i usually use something thin on top of my fit, a tiny garment if u will. maybe two, maybe some stuff around my neck or ankles. u get the picture. then, once im there, i use pins to pin the fabrics together and hang it not from my waist but around my torso, diagonally. like a sash. pin wise, i usually make a long chain and hang it from my bag, a sleeve, my ear. i love how it looks, and im never cold.
i've gotten into taking mirror selfies of the outfits i like the most and making them into little private pins on a personal pinboard so now i have an archive of some of the outfits i like most! i've been trying to find myself a little more lately wardrobe-wise so this is really helping since i'm not yet a person who can visualise all the outfit combinations i might wanna style a piece into yet
My fav genre of garment. i see anything with a versatile string or strings and the options open up immediately. I have so many ways to show this but Iāll just put one pic I guess and this one is more diy lolz
1.) get so attached to your clothes, I mean only buy shit you are jazzed about and plan on having forever 2.) wear your clothes, wear and tear and patina and softness and broken-in-ness are beautiful, usually 3.) sashiko style mending as seen here, looks great and you'll feel even more attached to your clothing third and final in a series of clothing related recs
I honestly think itās time to say āfuck Instagramā and move on. Instead of trying to change a platform thatās built on control and endless mind-numbing content, why not migrate to spaces that truly support your needs and help you form real connections? For me, itās not about staying and āfighting backā in an environment that just isnāt workingāitās about choosing a community that aligns with my values and where i can genuinely grow. I deleted my instagram account a few months ago and it feels incredible. I think we all deserve better.
