night terror Matador

When I was younger, I was terrified of matadors and the people who threw the tassels into the bull. And so, when I would get my night terrors, I would sleep ram into things thinking they were matadors. This was fine if it was a blanket or a stuffed animal, but the final time it was a locked door. Now, I have scars running through my eyebrow from trying to run down a doorknob in my sleep 😅🥲

having multiple night lights because the dark remains terrifying even at this late stage in the game

indeed “the dark” remains terrifying to me! the flashes i see out of the corner of my eye make me feel like i am LARPing in a reenactment of the descent, and though i am older i am not fully convinced those ghoulish apparitions are not truly monsters. i love the light, i am thankful for electricity and fire
