This is still one of my favorite shows of all time. I haven’t watched all of it start to finish, but it still makes me laugh while tackling really tough issues. I just learned the other day the first 2 seasons were inspired by an autobiography from an actual MASH doctor who served in the Korean War. I think it’s still relevant in our current political climate. One time, during a tense situation on a tightly packed train, someone told my wife, “You gotta laugh, or you’re gonna cry.” Even while things feel like they’re falling apart around us, we have to keep smiling if we have any chance of getting through it. Be sure to take care of yourself. ❤️

I‘ve seen this show many times and yet every single time an episode ends I actually think “that was the best written piece of comedy-drama television I’ve ever seen, there’s no way it could be better” and then I watch the next episode.

hear me out, y'all. this has been my comfort show for like a hundred years. it never gets old. the epitome of #wholesome. do you love: -tiny coastal towns -bumbling nephews -old people having crushes on each other -grumpy small-town doctors -cops being shown up by an old lady -that same old lady confronting murderers and saying things to them like, "now stop this fiddle faddle!" if you answered "yes" to any of the above, this show is for you! maybe it's just because i spent most of my childhood around no-nonsense, bookish, old people in new england, but this show is A VIBE so stop sleeping on it.

I’ve watched it over and over every decade of my life, and I still enjoy it.

I first shaved my head in 2017 because I wanted to do something bold with my body, something I had considered for 2 whole weeks before just doing it. Now, I haven’t cut my hair since November 2024 and my hair is in the pixie stage. When people, usually women, ask me about cutting my hair, I always tell them to do it at least once because it’s so liberating to reclaim your body in a very obvious but temporary way. It’s also nice to not worry about extensive care and maintenance. I’m not sure if I’m going to like having long hair again, but I’m going to give it another try.
