I used to lay in bed forever when I woke up, but lately I’ve been waking up, showering, and starting my day by a certain time. I feel so much more productive because I get stuff done by noon and I still have the rest of the day ahead of me!! Rise and grind, slimes

I remember being surprised at how much time there was in a day when I started doing this

bee1000 Exactly!! I used to be so averse to really doing much before like 10 or 11 AM but I feel so much more satisfied with myself when I’m up and moving early

Rise and shine rise and grind or whatever they say. I feel like getting up early is the key to having a decent day. My grandmother use to wake up at like 5 in the morning, no plans, and just get going. Shit happens and sleeping in slows the movement. Even if you’re just gonna chill around the crib, get something going. Plus that afternoon nap gonna hit crazy later on.

I used to be such a morning person and I’m trying to get back to that. It’s much harder in the winter but I feel more encouraged by the changing of seasons. I feel such much more at peace when I have time to myself in the mornings before I need to rush to work. I can stretch, write, read, watch an episode of King of the Hill lol. The hardest part is peeling yourself out of bed, and then you‘re rewarded by time and quiet.

i love the feeling of getting up and having a productive morning, even if just that productivity is getting up, getting dressed, and going for a nice lil walk. my job forcibly turned me into a morning person but i’m enjoying it!

It was already one of my favorite movies, but another watch solidified it. One of the greatest love stories ever put to seen, so odd and grand, masterful yet so simple. I can only dream of making a love story so varied yet effective.

In an effort to decentralize social media in my life, I started reading again… and I didn’t realize what a joy it could be! I couldn’t tell you the last time I read a book of my own accord, but I started with The Bell Jar, and now I’m on Just Kids. They are perfect ways to ease myself into more patience, quietness, and satisfaction. :)
