🙏The other day i opened the app and I had no notifications - and I felt bad!
Another day I had a couple dozen and was happy.
I don’t think that’s how this app needs to be. Likes are meaningless and I don’t want to know about them.
I want the little number at the bottom of the app to show if someone commented or mentioned me, or started following me. A lot of the time that will be zero, and that would be great. We just need a checklist of notifications where we can choose which we want.
I know, notifications bring dopamine and make people want to open the app all the time.

🔢I got a notification that my rec was ‘xth most popular in the app‘ yesterday. Admittedly a cool feature, but honestly it goes against what pifyi is about in my mind, in the same way we don’t have follower counts on our profile, or cant see the amount of likes on a post at a glance, I don’t think we need to notifications like these either.
