Watched this very recently because I went on an Estonian cinema spree and you’re right! Have yet to see an Estonian film that isn’t gorgeous actually! I recommend Marketa Lazarova if you haven’t seen (this one is Czech but I feel you’d like one if you like the other)

soft Thank you for the rec, i'll 100% check it out. there is a little soviet film called the cranes are flying from 1957. That is maybe the most beautiful film i've watched in recent time - unreal cinematography for the time :)

Sargy mann's ‘Little Sitting Room’ paintings
Just read this essay by Olivia Laing in her book "Funny Weather: Art in an Emergency"about the painter Sargy Mann. He progressively lost his sight towards the end of his life, and when he couldn't barely see anymore he produced these beautiful set of paintings of people in between leaving the pool and going inside this little sitting room. His debilitated sight made him focus a lot more on the blocks of colour, that are so vibrant they scream on the paintings, even when seeing them through a computer screen.

In the UK, it's Mother's Day today, and for the first time potentially in my entire life, i explicitly told my mum "I love you". Shit feels gooooooood :) i love ya ma, i tell ye, i loves ya
