tbh most of the time iām walking around my neighborhood itās because iām on the way to the subway to go to work. it has sort of cast a āblegh, workā vibe over the route i usually take. last night i walked that way with a friend just for fun, and it was lovely! i recommend it.

Finished up some work at 5pm (same time as my bf) and we immediately walked from Ridgewood to Sunnyside. Took a super pedestrian unfriendly route to get there, likeā¦side of road no sidewalk type walk. It was very enriching. I love walking through industrial areas to get to somewhere lush and green. It feels very magical realism/storybook-like. My life has been sitcom crazy and my brain has felt scrambled; long walks have been keeping me levelheaded and sharp. Good to have someone else to dissect your thoughts with but you can do it alone too. We walked for 4 hours ish

drive to ur favorite street (or walk there if it abets itself to such) and walk the length on both sides. if financials allow stop for a reward treat/drink/item along the way! tbh i love how this both enriches ur connection to ur city and gets u outside when the weather is nice and also could be a good excuse to try new places and things! i went for a drink special at my favorite cocktail bar and it didnāt disappoint

yesterday was my birthday and my friends and i went thrifting. when we got home we had a thrift haul fashion show which turned into my roommates and i trying on a bunch of each otherās clothes. we had a great time. i ended up both giving away and receiving a sweater in this process.

i donāt know why or how but the occasion to say this actually comes up fairly often?
itās a reference to the scene in lady bird when lady bird and julie get in their big argument and lady bird says she refused to be in the play bc she was cast as the tempest in william shakespeareās the tempest. which is not a role. though it is the titular role.
my best friend and i more or less use this as a replacement for ācase in pointā (but the delivery is important. it canāt be itās the titular role. it has to be itās the TITular. ROLE.) and itās endlessly funny to me.
