Been into more international and older films this year and one of my favorite tools is youtube! Fck google and fck algorithm recommendations but thank you youtube for having hairpin circus!
YAY Dirty girls by Michael lucid - don’t fully remember what it’s about but it’s in my playlist of cool docs.
The perfect painting and hotline Miami by polyblank - tbh u would recommend his entire channel! Makes art history type Of videos but in such a cool interesting way that can keep my brain focused (not sure how to explain it)
michael reeves - Super funny and super cool channel. He doesn’t post a lot but everytime he does it’s great. He makes a lot of inventions but of non serious things and tests them out with his friends. a classic one I’d recommend is the roomba that screams when it bumps into something! Also the surgery robot one is good too, honestly there’s actually too many here that I like to just put a few recommendations of his videos LOL
ever since i’ve deleted social media, youtube has been my everything like i cannot lie as a child of the internet, ive always been on youtube but i have a deeper appreciation for it now thank you to the random people who upload concerts, speeches, and old movies that were otherwise be inaccessible or impossible to find where else can i find
the making of do the right thing (1989),
mos def at fat beats (1999),
constantly rewatch mtv‘s downtown,
watch dick gregory at the city club of cleveland,
and listen to berry gordy‘s memoir
FOR FREE?? and of course it’s a lot of bs on youtube but you just have to use it right (linked mos def at fat beats, cause its just that good)
I just ordered an embroidery kit because since I graduated high school I haven't been taking art classes. I was bad at art in high school and I expect to still be bad, but I do miss creating things. Updates to follow
