Trying to lean into this more, it feels naturally instinctual to live your months by the moon instead of a calendar.

i always, always love the moon. my mom side of the family follows the lunar calendar religiously (i’m chinese) and i’ve grown to love it more and more it makes a lot more sense than the western calendar in terms of seasons and the universal pattern of time (this doesn’t make sense once i wrote it down but it makes sense in my brain) anyway, today’s summer solstice and the may full moon according to the moon, and i think you should listen to the moon and go live your best dreams today

i look at what sign the full moon is in and use that significance to reflect on certain areas of my life. for me the ritual usually includes meditating, journaling, and tarot. i like to really commit to the witchy ambience with some candles or incense, crystals, relaxing music, nice pajamas, etc. makes it more fun! you can really make it your own by including stuff like a bath, long skincare routine, watching your fav movie, yoga, etc. you also don’t necessarily have to « believe » in astrology or moon cycles to get into this, the full moon is kind of just a prompt for a night of self-care and reflection!

I’m usually like 3-10 mins late to everything so I’m relieved when someone else is running late, too. Punctual people stress me out in a casual setting!!

My friend Pia and I were looking for another roomie bc the other girl bailed. Pia got the word out to some people in the burbs, he (future lover) happened to be there and said he was down to move in. Out of desperation from searching, I didn’t care who lived with us as long as they paid rent. We met the day we moved in and became super close friends, it was always respectful, platonic, best-buds type shit. We lived together for 2 years, Pia moved out after year 1. He ended up moving to CO after a life altering change. The day he left was when I realized he was the perfect ”one” for me. I legit cried for weeks straight and we texted non stop every day. He came back a month later and said he really came back for me <3 8 years later, we’re still together and getting married on our 10 year roomie anniversary in October! Sometimes they’re right under your nose, or in this case, under the same roof ;)
