Shameless self promo BUT honestly, this came out SO GOOD. I never could find a good instrumental so I found this one I used and even though it was shorter than the song I managed to finish the song acapella. It’s my proudest moment because I love this song (I even got a tattoo that says “it ain’t 2009 no more”) 😭

i’m tired of acting like this isn’t one of the greatest songs of our generation. i swear there is something injected into this. i could be having a horrible day, but if i hear even just the first few seconds of sexyback, my worries are behind me. had to wake up really early for something important? sexyback will hype you up. sexyback heals all.

you forgot it in people - broken social scene

all of the songs on this album fade into each other. 🤩 it’s what made me appreciate the art of the album when i was 15/16, and i still love to listen it in full from time to time, when the season is apt. you not only get great stand alone songs but also a thorough piece of art that helps curate the album’s feel. i love love love this album!!

1. RYM - fun way to keep track of albums you’ve been listening to and see what your friends are listening to. 2. Last.fm for listening stats (more accurate than Spotify and Apple Music IMO, but that’s not news) but also for curated recs and leaving one-liner comments on songs/albums. 3. Bandcamp for buying music, yes, but also I’ve especially been loving their feature articles as of late. Good music writing!
