She’s got one of the most beautiful voices ever !!! If you enjoy Joan Baez or Bonnie Dobson, I highly recommend you check her out. She’s so incredibly underrated. Very sweet, cozy, and nostalgic.
i’ve been listening to a lot of her music lately and i feel like she gets me. she is a genius all around; her lyricism is beautiful and i have yet to find anything i don’t like about her music sonically. i remember hearing her in my dad’s car at different points during my childhood, so her music also has some nostalgia attached to it.
This was my introduction to Fiona Apple and is my favorite song of hers ever. It captures and sounds like the feeling of longing so well. It’s such a cinematic song too. If i were in a movie it feels like it would be my intro song as i bike around to work or something. I used to skip the end bc it sounded weird but it’s sorta my favorite now.
i finally started listening to Fiona Apple, and i genuinely don't know why i didn't start listening to them earlier. she's such a good vocalist, i so wish i could sing like that. my favorite songs at the moment is valentine and paper bag
