just ran into this old neighbour who used to be a professor at the top college in our country and he asked me when I graduated- I told him last summer and he started saying it’s been 6 months- do something kid, go do your masters or something 😭😭😭
i didn’t say anything cause im gonna start working soon but also didn’t know how to explain my “figuring it out” plan to him.
i am extremely sensitive so at first felt a bit hurt but let it go cause of how little he knows about me.

my mum said that old people feel so ignored and the number one thing you can do as a young person is to give them a compliment. I have actually only done this once but I think it’s so fire when an elderly person puts on a good outfit so I complimented an old lady’s garms recently and her face lit up crazy style

My therapist, who is in her late 20s and is therefore no more than five years older than me, said “good girl” to me during our session yesterday, because I am better able to manage my anxiety.
I had no idea how to react, and instead of that causing me anxiety and confusion, I just laugh about how unexpected that was. My girlfriend also got a kick out of it lol.
So silly. Life is so unpredictable and awesome in that way.

I’m tired of my friendships only being sustained through the exchange of memes and reels. i crave proper conversations- where the other person shows equal interest.
I’m tired of people pretending to not care or not be too interested or that they have other options?! ughhhh
we are all too scared of being perceived differently from how we wish to be perceived because of how much we get to control our image on the internet (read receipts off- can’t let them know i read their message)
It feels like people literally throw their phone away in the fear that they’ll seem too interested after they message you- which defeats the entire point of a conversation.
