I love Bob Dylan, just a man and his guitar (and harmonica) singing silly little folk songs. He’s a wonderful poet. His guitar playing isn't technical, but it tells a story. his nasally and whiny vocals can be a huge turn off for people, but it can grow on you. I would recommend these songs: for his storytelling and poetry:
All Along The Watchtower
A Hard Rains A-Gonna fall
It’s Alright Ma (I’m only bleeding)
Masters of War
For his guitar (and harmonica) playing:
Subterranean Homesick Blues
Mr Tambourine Man
Bob Dylan’s Blues Its a unique sound that can either grow on you or blow right past you! just got to have an ear for it :)
So comfy. Feels like being under a warm blanket and reading a fun book about legends and stories of the old west, heroes and horses. The albums John Wesley Harding through Pat Garrett and Billy The Kid. Favorite songs: The Ballad of Frankie Lee and Judas Priest, Tonight I’ll Be Staying Here With You, Days of ‘49, If Not For You (George Harrison also did a great version of this!)
One of the more underrated Dylan records from an underrated era from him. Some beautiful songwriting of course, but it's worth the listen mostly for the vibes. There's a southwestern country sound in this that makes me feel like I'm pulling into a desert motel in a beat up pickup during a long roadtrip.
basically impossible now due to light pollution. doesn’t that make you a little sad?? what was once a common sight to our ancestors has now been wiped away due to industrialization
