i honestly thought it would
not only be nomed best picture…but win. It’s beautifullt edited, extremely compelling, secual tension through the roof. The boys’ performances are stellar. Non-linear storyline, with half of it taking place over the day of a challenger between the boys 13 years after the original events of the movie, the other half is sprinkled in filling in events in the last 13 years to get us back to the same day. Oh and it’s a little gay.

i'm pretty sure i'm far from the first to say this, but holy shit. what a movie! i think i sat in the movie theater with my jaw dropped for a big chunk of it. electric, and crackling with tension- both in terms of relationships and the tennis court. some old school 90s sexiness and sexual metaphors, with beautiful shots and impeccable chemistry. just 10s all around for me. i think it's also a perfect movie to watch on a sweaty, sweltering summer day with some lemonade and auntie anne's pretzels (which i did) can't wait to see it again.
also i'm obsessed with apparently the notes for the score being "unending homoerotic desire" uhhh yeah! i got that

i had such a good time watching this movie— i even had a notebook out to keep up with what was happening because i have no patience but, even so, it managed to pleasantly surprise me in the end.
i think it deserved a theatrical release… i can only imagine how much more exciting it would’ve been to watch it on the big screen.
the movie itself is also very visually pleasing (imo) and that deserves extra cookie points <3

Ok I thought the trailer looked good and I love Luca Guadagnino but holy shit this is instantly my favorite movie of the year
First of all its fucking beautifully shot, every scene and color is beautiful and all three leads are beautiful
I’d never heard of Josh o Connor but wow he’s great
Also it features probably the greatest Trent Reznor Atticus Ross score of all time it sometimes almost drowns out the dialogue at points and it’s incredible
There are unbelievable scenes all throughout honestly but the final scene is so good I walked out with tears in my eyes not cause it was emotional but just cause of how good it was

A couple months ago my friend dragged me to Joann Fabrics and we got some 2 dollar squares of fabric and some embroidery floss, and after a couple hours of semi-hard work on her bedroom floor, we ended up with some pretty dope shirts. Wanted to show off that creativity is not dead !

or, if you have too much attachment, just really try to open them. turn nofs off and you can ween off to start, but I promise when you go to check ur socials to make sure you didn’t miss anything, you will realize you never do, there isn’t anything to miss. In the meantime, pick up a book! I have recs if you want (I stay far away from booktok books). Get a sketch book and draw, try embroidery (it’s easier than you think, I made a little frog and put it on a shirt), start reading the news, do crossword puzzles, clean your room, go for a walk, a drive, call a friend and my personal fave, get a cheap comp notebook and start writing. I realized I had trouble keeping a journal because I would put too much pressure on it and also bought notebooks that were too pretty and delicate.
