i went for the first time with a friend and it was STELLAR. we went on the friday (which was free🔥) and one of the live bands had contra dancing ‼️‼️‼️
and let me tell you. live music was so fire i shed a Fat tear.
genuinely felt like i was in that one scene in Tangled the way everyone was singing and dancing so happily together. dancing with your friends and mutually as enthusiastic strangers is so fun why don’t we all do this more often

invited some girlfriends over to play a set for us and it was so sweet/wholesome! we always talk about wanting the feel of house parties again, intimate safe settings with close friends and ppl actually dancing <3 this provided that and more, can’t wait for the next one!
Used to always invite all my friends for a picnic near a small lake, so we could swim too. But now I live in a city that has a weeklong free music festival that aligns with my bday. So I invite friends over for cake, then I invite even more ppl over to hangout at the festival. People join and leave whenever and Im surrounded by loved ones all day.
