I had a closed mind towards blueberry muffins for too long. Stealing the blueberry muffin off the cooling rack at work felt like what a man must feel when he has a daughter.
i hadn't had one in so long, and last night my friend said he was eating one, so i woke up this morning and made the blueberry muffins from NYT cooking for my breakfast. i ate one, saved two, then delivered the rest to friends all over downtown. this is so gilmore girls of me
from the grocery store. nothing fancy. pop that shit in the microwave for 15 seconds and it's gourmet. also makes that mamas and the papas song get stuck in my head all morning.
I specifically made plans this year to be alone on my actual birthday. And it’s been so nice. The best in years, no tears! I got up early to walk around a wildflower garden, tried a new coffee shop. Read a lot. Thrifted. Sushi for dinner and a peach crepe for dessert. The only thing missing was that I never went and celebrated with my favorite paintings at the museum but I’ll have a belated party with them later. Happy birthday to me.
