Underrated state. No joy like eating a green chile breakfast at Frontier Cafe (Albuquerque) or El Jacalito (Las Cruces). White Sands is a wild place (the sand stays cool and feels different than most sands) and the drive coming down from Colorado is very dangerous but it’s worth seeing those dwarf pines covered in snow - I’ve never seen anything like it. I like the people there too, everyone’s friendly and hospitable and most of them speak my language. -Saguiv RosenstockĀ

Silver City, Madrid, Deming, NOT Santa Fe itā€˜s overrated and darksided, Albuquerque, RUIDOSO and Cloudcroft (both a favorite vacation spot for Texans because they’re high up in the mountains in the middle of Lincoln National Forest). Bohemian, quirky, easy-going, friendly people, lots of cool little shops with handmade goods and cheap antiques, unique historical sites like the Gila Cliff Dwellings, countless hiking trails, fresh desert air, green chiles, and the sunsets will take your breath away !!!

It’s very recently been made a national park and it’s a weird, otherworldly, and stunning place. The world’s largest gypsum dunefield… there’s sand and it’s white

Closest town is a Mexican sister city right across the river, then a smattering of smaller New Mexican towns scattered through the desert, then absolutely nothing for hours—just empty space, sand, dust, sparse vegetation, and the open road. You can drive something like eight hours one way before reaching civilization. There’s not much to do there and sometimes it felt like a place time forgot… haven’t been back there in a few years.

Don’t think I could give a higher recommendation than Les Blank. Greatest American Film maker in my opinion. Doesn’t miss. Every film represents the simplicities in life through different American communities and traditions. The intimate way he films makes it seem like he’s just shooting without a plan. He’s just filming the environment. It’s all natural. Theres so much innocence and I don’t think this could exist anymore. It’s right before everyday people developed a ā€œperformativeā€ identity when being filmed so there’s still that honesty and vulnerability. -Jack Tobias

I like this video of Leigh Bowery. I love the crazy enthusiasm in his eyes and the clothes make me laugh out loud and are so beautiful. Something about how clear his voice is when he speaks is unsettling and hilarious to me. Never seen clothes express so much pain and joy at the same time. Would have liked to meet him, RIP -Zack BorzoneĀ

I like to read a lot of religious stuff, and probably the best part of the history of religion is the last 2500 years of Hindus and Buddhists roasting each other in long philosophical screeds. They love calling each other morons and implying that the other school of thought is just malicious lies. There's all these legends about specific monks and mystics "defeating" one another.Ā  These debates are still thriving on social media and its become most of my youtube algorithm. -Sam Pickard
