second in the before trilogy, i actually watched this first by accident and i’m so glad i did. don’t want to say too much but i think this is one of the greatest romance movies to me at least, it feels so real like you’re actually watching a sneak peek into the life of these two lovers.
@GRACEOLIVIA yeah i was not in a v good emotional state when i watched it the first time, it genuinely felt like someone was obliterating my heart 🥰 but still so impactful when you feel normal
this has been my nightly movie the last three weeks, probably the best trilogy ever made- anybody that says its boring is wack, the scene in before sunrise when theyre listening to music makes me melt
@PERSEPHONES anyone who says it's boring doesn't know what it feels like to always find beauty in the seemingly mundane. the way you can tell they want to kiss each other and they're both trying to play it cool and you can feel the chemistry between them ughhhhhhh perfection
I don’t see enough people saying this. This is one of my favourite films of all time. I love the first but I believe Before Sunset it infinitely more nuanced and powerful. Love it so much. Ugh.
There are a lot of dorky maps online describing their (slightly unrealistic) path through Paris — the Promenade Plantée (pictured above) is really nice and just slightly off the typical tourist radar. Also I love how the opening credits show all the film's eventual locations in reverse.
gorgeous romance epic, there’s tradition, there’s eyebrows, there’s eurotrip, there’s european bureaucrats being morrons, theres a frisky love interest with a cool hat, transcendent love, there’s a minxy aunt. it’s just so shockingly beautiful, watch it with friends, try to find a big tv, the first time i saw simran standing on her balcony and the wind blows so her hair reveals her face i clutched my chest out of sheer awe
Beautiful old movie [1934] that seems to be the blueprint for a lot of commonly used tropes throughout later media. (Enemies to lovers, pretending to be a couple, class / status division, forced proximity, etc.) It’s very fun, very cute, and I very much recommend to anyone in need of a movie to watch
crush texted me and i said hell yeah nigga we up really loud and i saw my supervisor look very taken aback but i luckily have my camera off so i’m gonna lie and blame my brother
