cultivating relationships with extended family members

I’ve always been standoffish with family. I was happy to hang out with just my parents and siblings, seeing grandparents/aunts/uncles/cousins just a few times a year around major holidays. I was a shy kid. As I’ve gotten older and started to lose some of these people, I realize I’d like to be closer to them. We all share something, a bond. I’ve started getting closer with a couple of cousins, hanging out together outside of full family gatherings. It’s nice and comforting.

nothing beats the aftermath feeling of hanging out with your homies that you haven’t seen for a long while, knowing that you had a well spent day with the right people. my heart is full.

made homemade fries at 3 in the morning

definitely do this however don’t use as many potatoes as i did as my stomach is out to kill me now the secret to making them soft and yummy is to put the lid on while cooking and only take it off to move them around to cook somewhat evenly. trust me the secret to having a good time is doing it alone at 3 am
