Stick-on earrings

Didn’t have pierced ears until I was 12, so I really enjoyed these bad boys that looked cute and barely kept on for 20 mins. Ended up having a nickel allergy that basically keeps me from wearing any earrings so maybe I should get back into these little guys.

For those big dangly earrings

This might be common knowledge to most women but I just discovered it today. Cut off the end of a bandaid and put it over your piercing behind your earlobe. Then just poke the earring through and you have some extra support for whatever dangly object you decide to hang from your head. For me today that object is an entire hand !

some safety pins lying around? boom! safety pin earrings. two small keys that I found at my nana’s house? again, boom! tiny key earrings. and then when people ask about them you can say you made them! so many wins here

I’m too dear with lovely things. I keep the brooch my 2nd grade teacher gave me in a box, safe, and because of this I’ve never worn something I really like! I recently decided I needed to wear my brooch with the sweater I finished knitting this weekend. It made it feel even more special. :)

The contrast Between the bright green of new growth and the darker old scales of a cedar tree leaves

I was talking to a friend who’s visiting home after being abroad and we both agree that not seeing familiar trees fills you with a certain longing/loneliness. I love western red cedars!
