underrated show directed & written by will sharpe (the hot japanese-british guy who plays ethan in the white lotus season 2). stumbled upon it on netflix in 2019, and it immediately became one of my all-time fave shows. it's a dark comedy about a children's book author who struggles to hide his depression from his dysfunctional family. hilarious, quirky, poignant.
and what i love about UK series is that they're finite: 3-6 episodes, 2-3 seasons. that's it. they don't go on for like 10 seasons, 30 episodes each, which is a lot to keep up with, and can be painful to watch too, since most of the time the show quality fluctuates or deteriorates. so, for me, the UK format is ideal. flowers only has 2 seasons with 6 episodes each, and each episode is under 30 mins. so good. and there's olivia colman. need i say more?

not a movie, but a relatively short tv series. about different kinds of grief, and also love and loving yourself, and the complications of family, and being a woman.

I don't know the amazon π€’ log in so needless to say, when the parents are away, I can display.. (fleabag in the living room). The first time I watched it, I accidentally stayed up until 3am finishing the show because I couldn't put it down. Fl;eabag's been talked about for years and yet it's STILL not overrated IMO. Plus, it's only SIX EPS per season... 24 minutes long!!! It;'s a no-brainer.
