It's a real life account of an anthropologist who worked with forensic teams to investigate the mass graves from genocides in Latin America and it's pretty fucking interesting yet heartbreaking

This was honestly one of the saddest books I've ever read. I'm not going to spoil too much for you, but essentially it's a reflection of the life of a serial killer on death row told through the perspectives of women he'd interacted with throughout his life. Super sad, super well written, bawled my eyes out multiple times. If you liked the Lovely Bones, you'll like this one too, it has a very similar feel. If you haven't read the Lovely Bones, read that first because it was actually the saddest book I've ever read. Love crying over books man, it really gets you feeling human ❀

a very eccentric old woman in rural poland tries to explain to her fellow villagers that the murders happening around them are the revenge of mistreated animals, if only anyone would listen! so idiosyncratic and funny, plays with unreliable narrators and mystery tropes and makes you think about the sanctity of life in all its forms

I've had the earrings since I was about 5 years old, never taken it off unless it was to clean them. Recently got a nose piercing last year so i haven't changed the stud out yet due to many warnings of infections that will follow but I'm planning on changing it out for a hoop in the next few months
