the largest cave system IN THE WORLD happens to be in the middle of Kentucky and the tours are insane. even a small portion takes multiple hours and it’s just walking through huge chambers the whole time. would recommend its unlike anything else i’ve done

I went on hike today with two of my friends. We’re in Arkansas for 2 days and it’s been a good time. I dragged us through the devil’s trails and ran off a few times for moments of solitude. I love being outside, but I am a runner. But I like it because I get to be an alone for a while. sometimes my friends worry but I just like existing solo sometimes.
Back to the hole, my friends didn’t want me to go in the hole bc they said I would become one of the dead people. the kind you see on tiktok where they track how the body was crushed when they fell down a too tight hole. I walked past it the first time but I thought about it the whole 20 minutes past it. When we walked back, I ran back to it and went in.

The curation of human interaction with landscape is really cool to me, and it’s really beautiful without feeling obvious, and I love the canal
I love Canyonlands for sheer scope and majesty !!!
i really want to go back to voyageurs soon as well for some conoe camping :)
