I watched 13 Going on 30 on repeat when it first came out. My mom had the soundtrack cd and would blast it all the time. I thought I would be working in some creative job at a magazine. Iโd be living alone in some luxury apartment in the big city with a walk in closet full of designer clothes and accessories. Iโd have a roster of hot boyfriends at least until I was ready to settle down with my childhood bestfriend.
One of my favorite movies from growing up. Gave my music obsessed self unrealistic expectations to what my life would be like and a whole lot of wardrobe envy. Still such a comfort film for me today as long as I donโt think too deeply about the plot.
I watched this a little too young but to this day is one of my favorite movies. itโs dark but one of the realest female coming of age films Iโve ever seen. also a big source of style inspiration.
