When I briefly lived in newark I would always go on walks by myself just listening to music exploring the city and I loved it. Now that Iām back home itās less walkable or I guess thereās less to see is a better word (Hereās a picture of the foggy Newark streets)

I love taking a good nature walk. Back in high school I had to wait upwards of 3 hours for my dad to come and pick me up (come late junior and senior year they told me to just take the bus home), I made it a bit of a habit of walking along the backyard of my school, it was this huge grassy space with trees and a river further back. Thinking of it now, it wasnāt very big, but man the self reflection I did there was crazy.
Now I frequent downtown a lot because of school, so I just walk around getting lost, occasionally going to the parks nearby and just sitting and thinking.

This is my #1 absolute all time favorite activity. If you have approximately 2 hours (ideally in early fall or early spring) with nothing in particular to do, take a walk around the city with no destination in mind and see what happens. Maybe youāll make eye contact for a moment with an attractive person in the crosswalk on 17th and 3rd and see your entire lifetime together flash before your eyes. Or you could catch a glimpse of yourself in the reflection of a Chase bank and remember that you are indeed a person who is alive and on planet earth. Maybe you get an overpriced coffee for some human interaction, drink 2 sips and throw it out while feeling bad about yourself. However you choose to spend that time, itās yours to waste, and a way to experience the city without the errands and dramas one usually faces in New York. And itās a great way to hyperfixate on a guilty pleasure song. Havenāt done thisā¦ more of a recommendation for myselfā¦ but i imagine itāll be really nice to change my usual walking scenery and to possibly discover something new..

I love this song itās such a shame itās not on streaming. The atmosphere this song creates makes me feel like frank ocean is singing it in a giant empty room filled with blinding light
