If I don't know what to do, or know exactly what I need to do but must (the must is essential here) procrastinate, I'd discover music for hours on end until I get tired and call it a successful day.
Time passes in like no time (haha) when I do my weekly deep dive into what's new or what's old - whatever it is, as long as it makes me think "fuck i really should have found this sooner." or a simple "i like this." It's my extremely aware subconscious forcing me to spend hours finding 'my song of the week' - I swear.
This list is just the representation of exactly what kind of sound I'm fixated on currently.

⋆ SPELLLING ~ SPELLLING & the Mystery School - I love Hard to Please (Reprise) its so beautiful! listened to it on vinyl a lot this week
⋆ Björk ~ Homogeneic - For some reason never listened to this particular Björk album, but it was so worth it. solid 9.5/10 and in my top 3 from her
⋆ Geese ~ 3D Country - Cameron Winter my goat. such a fun album i really liked it
⋆ Paris Texas ~ They Left Me With the Sword / a Gun (double EP) - Highly recommend, this is so fire, definitely one of my favorite rap projects of the year. infinyte and No Strings are actually amazing. maybe 8.5/10 for both of the EPs combined, but "...a Gun" was my fav of the 2
⋆ *NEW* Model/Actriz ~ Pirouette - Just listened to this today, what a great record with some heartbreaking songs. got some heavy Xiu Xiu vibes on a couple tracks, i really loved Acid Rain. strong 8.5/10 for now but definitely planning to listen more
⋆ femtanyl ~ CHASER + REACTOR - Listened to these 2 EPs after a friend's rec, they were super fire and so groovy. M3 N MIN3 has goat feature alert (Danny Brown). loving both of them, for sure gonna listen to more from her!

⋆ *NEW* Joey Bada$$ vs. west coast beef - This was the most buns rap battle ever. there was like 20 tracks dropped within 3 days and there was maybe 4 good ones! the biggest beef was between the artists and picking good beats
⋆ @SENTRIES ~ Gem of the West - Recommended to me by Sentries themselves on this app last week! Overall i really enjoyed this album and jammed out pretty freaking hard to it! got a lot of Squid vibes but also just epicness. really liking the tracks code, cowboy's carcass, and red eye removal!
⋆ The Cure ~ Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me - I don't listen to the cure too much but when i do it's always so fire! honestly such a good album and by favorite of theirs (from my limited listening)
⋆ *NEW* Jane Remover ~ Supernova - I didn't even know there was gonna be a new Jane track today but here it is and its freaking fire. hopefully this means Revengeseekerz deluxe or something.....?
⋆ *NEW* Boldy James ~ Magnolia Leflore - was really excited for this project because the single was so fire, but it was mostly just pretty good. nothing stood out much excpet for the single but at least the songs are mostly enjoyable (unlike the past like 8 boldy projects)! thinking a solid like 6 or 7

‣ Boldy James ~ Nancy Botwin - the single from his new album/EP, was loving it all week and it's definitely the best off the project

Sometimes all I need is a simple routine. Lighting a candle in the quiet hours of the night with a warm cup of tea. This has been my winter “ritual” ever since I’ve come to know winter. Sometimes I read a book, and most times I watch something. But maybe I need another element. I could journal, but for once properly and physically in one place. I find many of my thoughts are just as scattered as they are in my head. On random pieces of post its, my notes app, Word, my notebook for class… they’re just everywhere and if I tried to trace them, I think, I think I would rather not. So here is one. Perhaps posting this as a confession will serve as my signed contract to get me to actually start keeping track (it’s worth a shot). I’ve come to understand that learning about people is fun but generally wouldn’t mind if it stayed this kind of one-way street. Maybe it’s time to overcome that, maybe I can add this sharing business as my new element, and maybe I’ll come to learn that a two-way street allows for different directions.
