if you live anywhere these grow (i know they do in the midwest, probably other spots too!) i highly, highly recommend. they’re wild onions and they’re so good in pasta sauce, with eggs, in pesto. i know they can sometimes be over-foraged, so i usually look for them at a co-op. also i’m always an asparagus fan! i used to not care for it but experimenting with different cooking methods really turned me around on it. happy almost spring! 🌷

I don’t think ramps grow in my area but definitely something I’ll look out for if I’m travelling more east! You’re reminding me last summer I wanted to harvest nettle for making dumpling so I def need to do that! i will try cooking asparagus again-i feel like i always end up picking really woody ones but i won’t give up lol

go to the farmer’s market and pick out something you‘ve never had or something you haven’t had in a while!! add novelty to your cooking!! this week i got brussel sprouts (have not made in a Very Long Time) and last week i got leeks (very good in soup & you can use the leaves for vegetable stock)
