nothing is as warm & sweet to me as this genre & its endless classics. my immigrant parents would Listen to these on the radio all the time, not knowing the words & how beautiful they are, but knowing it’s fire all the same. the most comforting thing has been listening to this on my own & then still hearing it on the radio station I grew up tuned into. some things just never change & this era of music will always be the cool rain I need on a hot day

Like lovers rock and rocksteady is the greatest music to me. I don’t know if it’s because I grew up hearing it a lot? (grew up in a predominantly Jamaican church and my dads most played cd was this old gospel reggae compilation) so maybe it gives me this nostalgia. But the bass lines and the melodies and songwriting is such an inspiration to me and I genuienly enjoy the music with all my heart. these stations filled my childhood rides to school... now ill play this type of music in the morning sometimes (shania, whitney, faith hill, natasha bedingfield, santana, etc) and feel truly... light. also somehow this genre makes me feel more like a grown adult woman for reasons i cannot explain

A classic That simply can’t get better. i sat outside a chocolate shop on a chilly day w my brother. ordered some cheesecake & chocolate mousse. i sipped my tea & the host showed us the blankets they have for guests sitting in the cold. “European style” she said. U guys i am itching to somehow top this tea experience but it’ll be hard ❤️
