Blue Origin this, Katy Perry that. The miracle of flight is still very much a miracle and one I won’t take for granted. One of the true joys is seeing your neighborhood from up above. Shoutout to Chicago for having so many recognizable large churches dotting the cityscape, finding the one by my house was easy!

truly the peak of life experience imo Leonardo Da Vinci said it best, “For once you have tasted flight, you will walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward, for there you have been, and there you will long to return.” it’s the most surreal feeling in the world

Taking pics as the plane’s landing

To say to myself, “I made it.” To show someone else later. To convince myself I’ll have the opportunity to show someone else later, that I made it, even if I never do. (Planes are still the safest form of travel.)

For all those who were once unmonitored children, slobbering on spoonfuls of Nutella until you looked like a St Bernard who just discovered a fresh pile of deer shit. Now you’re grown. Now you know what a seed oil is but not why. Now Nutella is a distant but visceral memory, accessed only through the delightful but not entirely fulfilling crunch of Dry Roasted and Unsalted Hazelnuts.
