from one of my favourite books station eleven and i also really agree cause humans want to be remembered so badly, from the things they create like art to the work they do for others, whether that’s a selfish goal to want to be remembered for what you do for others rather than doing it out of desire to help other people i don’t know but it’s interesting

this whole interaction from the banshees of inisherin is amazing and so beautiful. i can understand both sides i guess but niceness really is so important!!! after this Colm counters Pádraic by asking him who else will remember his sister‘s and his niceness but it doesnt matter so much WHO remembers your niceness because that memory and the mark you make yourself through it will be remembered through your impact on the world
the earth will remember our ’niceness’ to one another and the beauty of the things we create like art and music and the things that are made for others to see and hear us, whether it physically lasts or even in the memories of other people, the world will remember your impact.

The other day i took a deep look at the trees on my way home. They wore so beautiful because someone is taking care of that. In a world of status this is not a “great job to do” but the impact of it is so great. We all hopefully doing something that matters in a way without us realising. The world isn’t about me is about us. this became my way of running from the idea “Im the centre of the world”. Hope it makes sense💫

discovered this song after it came on in the credits for the film the outrun and it’s literally so good
the start literally hooks you with the crazy cool and unique accordion
then the rest of the song is also amazing i love the bittersweet feel of it with the line ‘this is the day your life will surely change’ that most people can relate to when you swear to yourself you’ll break your bad habits to make a better life for yourself, deciding that THIS will be the day youll change but you could say that any day again and again and never actually do anything to change or stick with it
