I go by they/she and I guess my mother had the bright idea to remember to use they more often by literally seeing me hold this mug that says THEY [super smash bros announcer voice] on both sides. Visual association style. Seems to have worked lol. Plus it's a pretty good mug! (I think pic is me showing a friend on discord??) (Face reveal 😳)
a kid I knew in college randomly started calling me this one day and it caught on to the point people who never met me were referring to me as Bidgii. Added bonus is it’s pretty much universally available as a username. Part of its advent as solidified in my lore is this post it I just discovered in the campus coffee shop that the friend had put up for me to notice (pictured below)
My first kind of girlfriend when I was 14 told the girl she was cheating on me with that I kissed like a mouse because I was timid (my dude that’ll happen when you’re 18 and dating a child). But then the other girl became my teenage best friend and she reclaimed Mouse as an affectionate term for me cause I was quiet. It became my username for stuff, with the addition of Teeth when Mouse alone was taken (I have two front teeth not large enough to be rabbit but prominent enough to be mouse), and then Mouse Teeth became my stage name because I didn’t wanna change my insta handle lmao. Mouse just sorta stuck.
And I felt lucky that it wasn’t taken when I joined the app. It’s also a signature part of my personality. Embracing my childhood name-call curse for the better. Weird is good!
