I’m in my 30’s and I still can’t get the hang of this. I race a razor around my face like it’s trying to catch a bus. Never shave when you’re in a hurry and don't shave like your competing in a time trial.

I totally understand the allure of the safety razor—I have a few selfies just like this, but one of the best decisions I ever made was buying a Philips OneBlade.

broooooo 😂 are you letting it grow out a lot? I use coconut oil, not shaving cream and seems to have helped. Change your razors too. Old ass razors do this too

My condolences. I switched to a safety razor to get a closer shave and had the same issue. I look less like a murder scene once I switched lathers, did shorter strokes, find the perfect depth and angle, and replace the blade after two uses. Best of luck to you. 🩸

keep as much as possible, never shave to skin, stay groomin

im a hairy boy who’s been able to grow a full beard since I was 15. I got sensitive skin and am prone to getting ingrown hairs that can become infected and become cysts (got some scars to prove it) so I really can NOT be shaving to skin in most cases. i’m a trimmers only kinda guy and otherwise let it do its thing. I stay regular on grooming tho. had to shave my beard (and shoulders 🫣) for this freddie mercury costume last halloween and I got an infected follicle on my jaw because it was the first time i’d had a smooth face in like 8 years. was worth tho and I ended up keeping the stache-forward style after

Not shaving against the grain

(Classic trans girl rookie mistake, AND I KNEW IT WAS!!! But whatever, got silly dysphoria brain, happens to the best of us.) It gave me A BUNCH of razor bumps around my moustache area and so now the moustache I was trying to get as least noticeable as possible is twice as noticeable.
