if you live in NYC you must try Sunn’s, the new Dimes Square korean banchan place. I guess it started as a pop up and then found this brick and mortar home affiliated with Parcelle. The food is superb, unique and surprising, and the vibe is impeccable. if someone took me here on a first date I would fuck them

It’s at 100 Bowery, more on the fringes of Chinatown and not on one of the major tourist streets. Genuine Cantonese “hole-in-the-wall” kind of place. You will not find a single non-Chinese person in there at any given time (except the handful of friends I’ve turned onto it). Sweet hardworking staff, super affordable, probably in danger of going out of business like a lot of the other old school Cantonese places in Chinatown. If you go, order Mushroom E Fu Noodles (Yi Mien) and Snow Pea Shoots with garlic.

i love hearing that girl sing her heart out in the shower through the bathroom vent. or the guy hocking insane loogies all the time. the alternating smells of delicious homemade chinese food or something totally burning in the oven… am always wondering if its the same kitchen!
