the only grocery store i can walk to is a food lion frequented by a lot of old people so there is the largest jello selection i’ve ever seen and some arcane vegetables like rutabaga.

when I feel like shuffling around in my flippies then food lion is definitely the place

@MATTSHAWSOME one time i went this lady in her 70s/80s was wearing a full teal tracksuit and in her cart was two tall boy cans of arizona green tea, a jug of arizona green tea, and a 12 pack of bottles of arizona green tea and nothing else. i still think about her often.

Whether it’s the serenading Chiquita Banana, the musical Avocado duet, or their band of farm-fresh dairy (pictured below), Stew’s delivers a rather musical shopping experience! And they have fresh, seasonal produce as well as a killer bakery selection. One of my most precious childhood memories is riding in the bottom of the shopping cart, eating a plain bagel from the bakery with a small sample of their freshly squeezed orange juice, available for the taking! And whenever I have friends visit me at my childhood home, Stew’s always is the first place on our sight-seeing agenda.
