In my first week of a tailoring job I sewed through my finger with a blind hemmer. Those machines have the most sadistic needles. I was trying to hem a pair of pants and the thread came out or something so I reached my hand around, behind and inside the machine, which is never necessary. And had my foot on the pedal, which is never smart. I accidentally hit the gas and sewed through my finger. Yeowch lol. I didn’t tell anyone because I didn’t want them to think I couldn’t sew. It does make me feel like a real seamstress, though.
